The Hitchhikers Robot Team

Hitchhiker's Robot
From alternative school, Middle College High School, a team was born: The Robotics Team.

Comprised of students from grades 9-12, the team called "The Hitchikers," participated in the nationwide "FIRST" (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) student robotics competition, a unique challenge for students to test their skill, knowledge, and willpower, by applying principles of science and technology. Students are given six weeks to design, build, and test the robot for an intense three-day competition that resembles the most exciting spectator sports. The robot is made of 1/4" clear polycarbonate.

Thanks to sponsors like TAP Plastics, the students of TEAM 1151, The Hitchikers, have managed to perform phenomenally well, winning the first four trophies the school has ever received!
