Processes
TAP Fabrication delivers precision with their computer driven laser, router, and beam saw. Our oversized 1,000 watt 5’x8’ bed laser cutters produce perfect 90° corners and razor-sharp acute angles. With the laser, there is no need for hold down space, clamps, or jigs. The laser leaves a smooth, finished edge and minimizes material waste. It's fast, simple, and accurate! TAP’s computer numerical control (CNC) router easily cuts through thick acrylic, and materials that can’t be done on the laser, like HDPE, StarBoard, PVC, Polycarbonate and ABS. Routing leaves a flat, perpendicular edge that is ideal for gluing. Our CNC beam saw allows for repeated highly accurate cutting in large quantities, when uniformity is key.

Send an email with your drawings, specs and the quantity needed to dave@tapplastics.com.
Please include your ship-to address, daytime phone number, and a dimensioned drawing or sketch.
Drawing specifications must include material specs, thickness, and quantity needed for a fabrication quote. We prefer .PDF files showing a fully dimensioned top view drawing with full specifications. We also accept .DXF, .DWG, .AI, and .PDF vector line files. Please save as lines and arcs, not splines when making a .DXF file. Please do NOT send a 3-D drawing.
Make sure all lines are joined, and to scale the drawing accurately and save as full size. Let us know whether you are using inches or millimeters (in or mm only). Remove all hidden layers and text. Show only the lines to be cut or machined.
All text fonts must be converted to outlines (Adobe Illustrator) VECTOR LINE DRAWING of the shape only. We cannot use a .JPEG or .GIF or other bitmap files.
