TAP X-30 Expanding Polyurethane Foam – Lightweight, Rigid Foam for Buoyancy, Insulation & Structural Support
TAP X-30 is a high-performance, rigid polyurethane foam that expands up to 30 times its original liquid volume, forming a dense, closed-cell structure ideal for a wide range of industrial and DIY applications. With a cured 2 lb. density, X-30 delivers excellent buoyancy, structural support, and thermal insulation, making it a top choice for marine repairs, roof coating systems, architectural insulation, and mold-making.
This pour-in-place expanding foam is formulated for easy use—simply mix equal parts of Side A (Resin) and Side B (Catalyst), stir thoroughly, and pour into a sealed cavity. Be sure to allow room for expansion. Once cured, X-30 is resistant to gasoline, oils, solvents, and other petroleum-based products, ensuring long-lasting durability in demanding environments.
Key Benefits:
✔ High Expansion Ratio – Grows up to 30x in volume for efficient fill and support
✔ Excellent Buoyancy – Provides approx. 60 lbs. of flotation per cubic foot
✔ Architectural & Roof Insulation – Used in roof coating systems and architectural cavities to improve energy efficiency and reduce sound
✔ Closed-Cell Structure – Superior resistance to moisture, fuel, and chemicals
✔ Mold-Making & Tooling – Great for pattern creation (or recreation!) and structural fill-in molds
✔ Sound & Thermal Barrier – Acts as an effective acoustic and thermal insulator
✔ Fiberglass Compatible – Accepts polyester and epoxy resins without degradation
Ideal For:
-
Marine flotation and structural reinforcement
-
Roof coating and cavity insulation
-
Architectural castings and core fill
-
Sculpture and mold-making
-
Soundproofing and thermal control in construction
TAP X-30 is a versatile, professional-grade expanding foam that delivers outstanding performance in both industrial and creative applications. From stabilizing boats to insulating roofs or crafting lightweight molds, X-30 offers strength, buoyancy, and reliability in one easy-to-use formula.
