Frameless Swiss Clips – Secure, Minimalist Mounting for Acrylic or Glass Displays

TAP Plastics' Frameless Swiss Clip System offers a sleek, modern way to display artwork, photos, or signage without the need for a traditional picture frame. Designed to hold acrylic or glass panels with backing securely in place, Swiss Clips provide a clean, floating look that puts the focus on your display—not the frame. All frames have a hanger bracket.

Each set is tailored for different size projects:

• Small kit: Side clips only (for lightweight or smaller pieces)

• Medium kit: Corner clips included

• Large kit: Includes both corner and side clips for added stability

These stainless steel clips accommodate a total material thickness up to 3/8". For safety and ease of handling, we recommend using acrylic over glass (or 1/8” foam PVC). Acrylic is not only half the weight of glass but also up to 20 times more impact-resistant—making it ideal for home, office, or gallery use.

How to Use:

1. Acrylic Panel: Use 1/8"–3/16" thick acrylic (recommended for clarity and strength). Clean with a microfiber cloth and anti-static cleaner like Brilliantize before assembly.

2. Artwork & Backing: Place your print between the acrylic and a rigid backing (options include mat board, foam core, foamed PVC, or plywood).

3. Apply Clips: Attach corner clips first, then evenly space the side clips. Peel masking only around the edges to avoid scratches.

4. Secure with Pins: Side clips include locking pins that can be gently tapped into the backing for added hold.

5. String Hanging Option: Each kit includes a string for a classic frameless hanging method. Thread through the corner clips as instructed for a secure display.

6. Wall Mounting: For wood backings, the included hanger bracket can be hammered into place; for other materials, adhesive can be used.

Note: Using Foam-Core as a backing is not recommended as the spring clips will crush the Foam-Core.
