File preparation is generally required to ensure a successful importation of files into the TAP computers. Although we can import many types of files (see list below), we have the best results with EPS, AI (Adobe Illustrator), or PDF. Please use one or more of these.

Check your application documentation if unsure how to do the following:

• Eliminate all shading, halftones, gradient fills, layering, or line thicknesses.
• Convert all fonts (text) to curves or paths.This eliminates the need to have your font on our system.
• Export file(s) to a PC format 3.5” disk, cd or e-mail to tapgraphics@tapplastics.com.

Mac Users: Export file as a PC format EPS or AI on a PC formatted 3.5” disk, cd or e-mail to tapgraphics@tapplastics.com.

Scanning Artwork. If digital artwork is not available, or your file does not convert properly, we can scan/edit a clean print (up to 8.5” x 14” for a onetime fee ($40 and up). Once we see your actual artwork we can give you a firm quote. Large, clean artwork saves time and money; and results in a more professional finished product. Larger artwork can be scanned in sections. Once entered into our system, your file will be stored for future use and can be modified, if necessary.
